About
Monsieur Oud is an attempt to reconcile oud and cologne, two traditionally opposing fragrance types. Inspired by the author's love for Walla Patta oud, it aims to capture its frangipani, osmanthus, and orange blossom notes in a cologne format. The base features aquatic Sri Lankan oud, '10 Kupang sandalwood, and wild Sri Lankan aloes with Chugoku Naga for intensity. The heart boasts rare flowers like red champaca, Thai frangipani, French mimosa, osmanthus, iris, orange blossom, and a unique jasmine. Top notes include yuzu, bergamot, guaiacwood, rosewood, fir balsam, and petitgrain, with pink pepper and civet. Monsieur Oud is an ever-evolving and highly ambitious composition.
